Biblical Truths — Sealed by the Holy Spirit

 

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior you receive God’s Holy Spirit and are sealed by Him. It is like a promissory note. It’s a promise by God’s Holy Spirit to us that we are Christ’s from then to all eternity.

 

Ephesians 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

 

Ephesians 4:30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

 

2 Corinthians 1:21-22  21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,  22 who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

 

2 Corinthians 5:5 Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge.

 

Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,

 

And such a seal cannot be revoked:

 

Esther 8:8 "Now you write to the Jews as you see fit, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's signet ring; for a decree which is written in the name of the king and sealed with the king's signet ring may not be revoked."
