About Jesus
Before you can believe in something you have to know what it is you’re believing in. Before you can know something you have to be told of it. From Romans 10:13-14 ...And how shall they hear without a preacher?
Jesus is the Word (Whom you are to hear): so when you hear the Word you are hearing Him. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (King James). In this verse hearing comes from the Word of God. It is not only the preacher you hear but real hearing comes from the Word (Christ) as He is revealed to you in your spirit, by the Holy Spirit. You can and should read the Word of God and hear the Word by the written word, also. So, no matter what way you hear, first you hear the Word in your spirit, then faith comes by that hearing.
Jesus is too vast to even list what the Bible says about Him but I will give you some basics, of what I know. Now, you do not need to know all this to be saved but you should know these things.
What does God the Father say about Jesus? Matthew 3:16-17 16 After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, 17 and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased." (underline is mine)
Jesus is the Word John 1:1-4 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men.
Jesus was in the beginning: In the beginning was the Word…
He was with God in the beginning: and the Word was with God, ...He was with God in the beginning.
He was with God at the creation: From Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image.
He was God (and still is) forever: and the Word was God.
He made all things: Through him all things were made
He lowered Himself to become fully man, while still being fully God: Colossians 2:9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form. (emphasis is mine)
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Hebrews 2:9 [ Jesus Briefly Humbled ] But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
He created all things, is before all things and in Him all things hold together: Colossians 1:15-17 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life (the Only Truth, The Only Life and the Only Way to God the Father): John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Salvation is through Jesus alone: Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved."
Jesus defeated Satan from the cross: Hebrews 2:14 Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
Jesus was holy, innocent, undefiled; crucified for our sins, raised by God, saves us, makes intercession for us and was exalted above all: Hebrews 7:25-27 25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 26 For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
