Repenting of your sin
To repent is to see your sin, under conviction of the Holy Spirit, and to turn from sin to God by Way of Jesus Christ. It can involve sorrow but that’s not its focus. Its focus is Jesus: your eyes on Christ.
You may wish to read how to better understand scripture
God grants repentance: 2 Timothy 2:25 Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,. Repentance is not something that can be done apart from God granting it. When He gives you the opportunity to repent and His Holy Spirit convicts you, His soft voice is to be accepted into your heart and you are to turn from your sin to God. His Spirit will not strive forever with man: Genesis 6:3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years."
Another time of repentance is escaping temptation: With every temptation you allow yourself to get into, God provides a way of escape (God does not tempt: James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.): 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. God provides you a chance to repent with every temptation you get yourself into. He lets this happen so you can see you’re totally and completely dependant on Him and unable to save yourself. You need not go further into sin’s traps. You do not know when temptation ends, as you go further into sin, and death begins. When you are tempted, because you walked right into it (and you should not have) see your exit to God and Take it.
The last time of repentance I can think of is when one confesses his sins: You are saved and you just sinned (you missed the mark) and you need to repent from that particular sin. Then you confess it. You acknowledge it to God and ask for forgiveness.
No matter how much or how little you think you have sinned, you are guilty by God’s Holy standards: Matthew 5:48 "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Only Christ was perfect so you must be born again (be saved), justified by faith and put on Christ’s righteousness: Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Repentance is necessary for salvation:
Mark 1:15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."
Luke 13:3 "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
2 Corinthians 7:10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.
Repent and believe the Gospel and recognize that now is the acceptable time. Now is the day of Salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 "AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU." Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION"-- (emphasis mine)
I pray that God’s Holy Spirit will touch your heart. If you would like me to pray for you, I would be happy to. It would be my honor as a servant of Christ. I have no idea who you are but I love you dearly.
Hebrews 4:7 Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts." Come to Jesus!
In the Lord Jesus Christ,

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
