Hebrews_12:2_ fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Contentment comes from direction… if you trust God

Yesterday I was, as many days, given a test from God. It was a simple one (thank you God) for which I did not at first handle perfectly. I then said in my spirit, that I wish I had done it a little differently, to make my stand. A few minutes later I was again posed with the same test, though in words, from someone else. I then did it right, taking my stand for the righteous decision (as I heeded God’s quiet voice). I later rectified my mistake completely and was pleased with the outcome. In the end, I made more of a stand for what was right than if I had simply done it as I had originally wished I could have. And so it is with life.

In short, I saw God change the surroundings around me to give me the second chance that I wanted to completely do the right thing before Him and man. When you see how this life is dynamic and how God changes things right before your eyes and gives you what you want to do His will, it makes you feel content. Knowing that my life is directed by God gives me contentment.

Right now I have very little, but I will soon be given more.

From Zephaniah 3:20  ...Indeed, I will give you renown and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I restore your fortunes before your eyes," Says the LORD.

And, I am not just talking about things, but yes God gives us things. We are to be stewards of His gifts. These things or possessions God gives us are from Him for us to use for our good, the good of others and ultimately and always for His will and purpose in our lives.

I know that God directs me by His Holy Spirit. I know He moves my head when He wants for my good. I know He has people say and do certain things for my good according to His will. I know He gave all authority to Jesus, Who is over all things, and that Jesus is over everything, including this world (not Satan) and all it contains. Within what is seen there is God’s unseen hand, giving us though His world what we need. The box of cereal on the shelf at Krogers, is it Satan’s or God’s?  It is God’s. So thank Him when you buy it and thank Him when you eat it.

Satan has a dominion but it is one of lies, trickery, deceit and even destruction (cloaked in beauty, sometimes) and all things evil. He is only allowed to do certain things by God. Evil men and women listen to and follow selfishness and Satan’s lies and the lies of the world system (not the world, which is God’s) and I pray they will repent and believe. But for us, God’s children, purchased by the blood of Christ, we have all things already. 1 Corinthians 3:21 So then let no one boast in men For all things belong to you,. We are given what we need and are directed to these things.

Seek God’s direction and be faithful to His soft voice. Do what is right in all things and navigate through this world by scripture. Take time to let God guide you in His Word and be attentive to His voice as you go about your day. Do this, trusting the Lord and you will be content by God directing your life. How could you not be?

No guilt in life, no fear in death

This is the power of Christ in me

From life's first cry to final breath

Jesus commands my destiny

No power of hell, no scheme of man

Can ever pluck me from His hand

'Til He returns or calls me home

Here in the power of Christ I'll stand (whole song)

If you’re not saved, Come to Jesus!

Update (2/20/2009): It’s been a couple years since I worked on this page and I don’t even remember opening this page up today.  I thought I opened another one. Anyhow, I was fixing to write this (as I did above), From Zephaniah 3:20  ...Indeed, I will give you renown and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I restore your fortunes before your eyes," Says the LORD. And here I was on this page so I read it and saw “Right now I have very little, but I will soon be given more” and thought, “Okay I will put that scripture here. Seems like God is directing me to a perfect fit.” (I was just talking about how God fits things together yesterday). So, I put it there read it again quickly and then published it and gave it another read after that, slower, and I saw more than before. I saw before your eyes in the paragraph above and in that scripture and that it was dealing with restoring fortunes, which is what I was talking about. What I wrote was waiting on that scripture to go after those words all along. WOW. I have underlined and made those words I am speaking about bold.

Thank You Lord for these words of Yours (Your Word) and leading me in the truth. Because of what God told me on the 19th of this month I know that my fortunes will be restored (beginning that day). God confirmed that to me then (I love when He does that and He does that after you already believe). I believe He is restating that now for me but primarily for others who wonder or need their confirmation. Now, you have it. While I am on that topic, right after I wrote this page God gave me His Answer and a confirmation on top of that. So, everything on that page is a “yes.” Thank You Lord.

Now, if just those words sync up and fit and are truth then you may want to start to believe me (God through me). And, instead of fighting me, help. And, you who will not believe, just stay out of my way (and I say that without animosity, but sternly) I believe and know I am getting help. But, more is needed. We have a job to do and we all need support. If we don’t help each other then the unbelieving world has us beat because they do help each other. Unfortunately, sometime more than believers. That is shameful for us.

in Christ,

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (King James).
