Hebrews_12:2_ fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Psalm 107:16 For He has shattered gates of bronze, And cut bars of iron asunder.

Last night, wanting to write of my deliverance, I thought of “cut bars of iron” and how I am there now and I remembered how Jonah had bars around him and thought that was where I read it, knowing I had read similar verses also in Psalms and would included them in what I was to write also.

A few minutes ago I asked God to show me what was on my heart and opened the Bible to Psalm 107:10-16 (verse 12 is where I began, but I went back to verse 10) and when I got to verse 16, my heart filled with joy as God spoke as He took me right to where I wanted to go.

I decided last night to write praises to the Lord, quoting scripture, as a witness, for I have felt the words in my heart and have been in the verses. So, I now place these words of Scripture, of my deliverance, in humble adoration and indescribable praises to the Lord, my God.  My praises go on forever, so this page will not contain them but is written to be a witness of my God’s power, grace and lovingkindness and to proclaim that the Lord is God.

Psalm 107:10-16

   10 There were those who dwelt in darkness and in the shadow of death,
         Prisoners in misery and chains,
    11 Because they had rebelled against the words of God
         And spurned the counsel of the Most High.
    12 Therefore He humbled their heart with labor;
         They stumbled and there was none to help.
    13 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble;
         He saved them out of their distresses.
    14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death
         And broke their bands apart.
    15
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness,
         And for His wonders to the sons of men!
    16 For He has shattered gates of bronze
         And cut bars of iron asunder.

Jonah 2:6

         I descended to the roots of the mountains
         The earth with its bars was around me forever,
         But You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.

Psalm 18:1-6

The LORD Praised for Giving Deliverance.

1 For the choir director. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said,

      " I love You, O LORD, my strength."
    2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
         My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
         My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
    3 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised,
         And I am saved from my enemies.
    4 The cords of death encompassed me,
         And the torrents of ungodliness terrified me.
    5 The cords of Sheol surrounded me;
         The snares of death confronted me.
    6 In my distress I called upon the LORD,
         And cried to my God for help;
         He heard my voice out of His temple,
         And my cry for help before Him came into His ears.

Psalm 6:8-10

    8 Depart from me, all you who do iniquity,
         For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.
    9 The LORD has heard my supplication,
         The LORD receives my prayer.
    10 All my enemies will be ashamed and greatly dismayed;
         They shall turn back, they will suddenly be ashamed.

Psalm 7:10

    10 My shield is with God,
         Who saves the upright in heart.

Psalm 9:9-10

    9 The LORD also will be a stronghold for the oppressed,
         A stronghold in times of trouble;
    10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
         For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Psalm 25:16-22

    16 Turn to me and be gracious to me,
         For I am lonely and afflicted.
    17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged;
         Bring me out of my distresses.
    18 Look upon my affliction and my trouble,
         And forgive all my sins.
    19 Look upon my enemies, for they are many,
         And they hate me with violent hatred.
    20 Guard my soul and deliver me;
         Do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in You.
    21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
         For I wait for You.
    22 Redeem Israel, O God,
         Out of all his troubles

Psalm 27

A Psalm of Fearless Trust in God.
A Psalm of David.

    1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
         Whom shall I fear?
         The LORD is the defense of my life;
         Whom shall I dread?
    2 When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh,
         My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.
    3 Though a host encamp against me,
         My heart will not fear;
         Though war arise against me,
         In spite of this I shall be confident.
    4
One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek:
         That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
         To behold the beauty of the LORD
         And to meditate in His temple.
    5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;
         In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;
         He will lift me up on a rock.
    6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me,
         And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;
         I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

Psalm 27:13-14

    13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD
         In the land of the living.
    14 Wait for the LORD;
         Be strong and let your heart take courage;
         Yes, wait for the LORD.

Psalm 30:1-5

Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death.

A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David.

    1 I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up,
         And have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
    2 O LORD my God,
         I cried to You for help, and You healed me.
    3 O LORD, You have brought up my soul from Sheol;
         You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit.
    4
Sing praise to the LORD, you His godly ones,
         And give thanks to His holy name.
    5 For His anger is but for a moment,
         His favor is for a lifetime;
         Weeping may last for the night,
         But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

Psalm 40:1-3

God Sustains His Servant.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David.

    1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
         And He inclined to me and heard my cry.
    2 He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay,
         And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.
    3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
         Many will see and fear
         And will trust in the LORD.

Psalm 41:1-3

    1 How blessed is he who considers the helpless;
         The LORD will deliver him in a day of trouble.
    2 The LORD will protect him and keep him alive,
         And he shall be called blessed upon the earth;
         And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.
    3 The LORD will sustain him upon his sickbed;
         In his illness, You restore him to health.

Psalm 51:17

    17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
         A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

Psalm 91

Security of the One Who Trusts in the LORD.

    1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
         Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
    2 I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress,
         My God, in whom I trust!"
    3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
         And from the deadly pestilence.
    4 He will cover you with His pinions,
         And under His wings you may seek refuge;
         His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
    5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night,
         Or of the arrow that flies by day;
    6 Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
         Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
    7 A thousand may fall at your side
         And ten thousand at your right hand,
         But it shall not approach you.
    8 You will only look on with your eyes
         And see the recompense of the wicked.
    9 For you have made the LORD, my refuge,
         Even the Most High, your dwelling place.
    10 No evil will befall you,
         Nor will any plague come near your tent.
    11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
         To guard you in all your ways.
    12 They will bear you up in their hands,
         That you do not strike your foot against a stone.
    13 You will tread upon the lion and cobra,
         The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.
    14 "Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;
         I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.
    15 "He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
         I will be with him in trouble;
         I will rescue him and honor him.
    16 "With a long life I will satisfy him
         And let him see My salvation."

Psalm 103:8-14

    8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
         Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
    9 He will not always strive with us,
         Nor will He keep His anger forever.
    10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
         Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
    11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
         So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
    12 As far as the east is from the west,
         So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
    13 Just as a father has compassion on his children,
         So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
    14 For He Himself knows our frame;
         He is mindful that we are but dust.

Psalm 116:1-9

Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death.

    1 I love the LORD, because He hears
         My voice and my supplications.
    2 Because He has inclined His ear to me,
         Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.
    3 The cords of death encompassed me
         And the terrors of Sheol came upon me;
         I found distress and sorrow.
    4 Then I called upon the name of the LORD:
         "O LORD, I beseech You, save my life!"
    5
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous;
         Yes, our God is compassionate.
    6 The LORD preserves the simple;
         I was brought low, and He saved me.
    7 Return to your rest, O my soul,
         For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.
    8 For You have rescued my soul from death,
         My eyes from tears,
         My feet from stumbling.
    9 I shall walk before the LORD
         In the land of the living.

 Psalm 119:105

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (King James Version)

Father, before heaven and earth I proclaim Your lovingkindness and grace. Jesus, in me you have shown Your victory over sin and death. You have delivered me from my enemies and put them to shame. You are my Strength and my Fortress. You have broken yokes of iron and untangled nets of destruction. In my weakness Your power was shown, and is shown. I am but dust. But, this speck of dust you forgave and saved. I am eternally grateful for all You have done in my life oh Lord. You have removed all my fears and delivered me. May this page be a testimony of my love for You to all. I am nothing without You Lord. Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I owe You my life and You have it.

As I near the end of my earthly yoke next week, already loosed in heaven, I give You praise for breaking this yoke and returning me to the land of the living. In Your name Jesus, Amen.

Come to Jesus!

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (King James).
