The Valley of the Shadow of Death
In the 23rd Psalm, the valley of the shadow of death could be called the valley of faith. It takes faith to walk in this valley. David walked through it, and untold numbers of believers. It is a place for refinement. It strips you of self-reliance and worldly thoughts. They’re gone instantly. You are totally in God’s hands and realize that you always have been, to a degree you never knew. He is your only Protection and your only Strength. This valley makes you completely humble yourself before God and trust only in Him. It’s a place you will never forget and never want to forget. It was this tough road that helped lead you to the peace that surpasses all understanding (because peace comes from faith). Though evil is seen more than you ever imagined, you learn not to fear it. In faith you press on to another step in faith. Hope is made real in this fire of purification as you hope against all hope and trust in the Lord God. There is no road here other than faith and no future other than hope. You see a shadow of death but you do not die. For you it’s but a shadow. This is a place for believers only… the purification and the pruning back is necessary. If you are there, do not fear. Ignore and resist Satan’s minions and his actors (the Bible speaks of pretenders). They are just playing tricks on you. They have no power. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Plays put on to get you to believe lies and illusions that are not real. I know. I have been there. Do not believe their lies. God will take care of you. He will bring you through it. Trust in Him and He will take care of you. Once you leave this valley, you will no longer fear man. You will no longer fear anything. You will have more trails but you will never fear again. You will have doubts regarding your path (but trust God completely and you will overcome your doubts), because you are human, but never doubts about God or your salvation. You have a purpose in your life now. Have faith. You will get there. Jeremiah 29:11

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
