The joy set before us
On the top of every page on this site I have Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
We too have a joy set before us, for which we can in faith look to when under oppression of this world and evil forces. We are to become more like Jesus, always, by dying daily to this world. We are hated for being His and it’s only by God’s great grace that we are not crushed. Jesus was crushed for us, so that we might not be. Our minds cannot grasp the pain that Jesus bore and our cross is so much less than His that it pales in comparison beyond imagination. Nevertheless, we do have a cross to bear and by God’s supreme grace we can bear it. So as we carry our cross through this world, we too should look ahead to the joy set before us, which is at the bottom of every page on this site: 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (King James).
Never give up. Grow in faith. Stay humble before the Lord your God and look forward to being with Jesus. Because one day we will see Him. One day, we can go home to be with Jesus, our greatest Joy.
