The poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb
I was watching a cartoon a few minutes ago. It was those Christian vegetables. Anyhow, it was good. I heard:
“You cant take his stuff. That’s no way to run a kingdom” Which reminded me of Ezekiel 46:18 "The prince shall not take from the people's inheritance, thrusting them out of their possession; he shall give his sons inheritance from his own possession so that My people will not be scattered, anyone from his possession." In Christ, anything Christ has given us is our inheritance.
Then the whole story was told and it was a twist of how David had Uriah killed in battle and how David stole Bathsheba from Uriah. This king vegetable wanted a duck that the poor man loved. So, he did what he needed for that to come about. Then another vegetable, who was like Nathan the prophet, came in and told a story of how there was a rich man who took what this poor man loved. When the king vegetable heard what this rich man did he said he should be thrown in prison for all his life (I think that’s what he said). Then the prophet vegetable sang a song and let the king know that the man whom he disliked and wanted to imprison was himself.
The king saw his sin and asked the prophet vegetable what he could do? The prophet vegetable said, “make it right.” So, the king did and all was well in his kingdom.
Note: I believe he gave the poor man back his duck, but my mind was thinking of something else at the time, so I am not sure. If the vegetable king did give back the duck some may say, “well then, that’s not scriptural because David kept Bathsheba and Uriah was killed.” To people who think in that manner. Yes it is Biblical. Very, very, rarely do people now exactly mirror a whole paragraph of scripture, let alone a whole chapter. We get to a certain depth and length and we can decide to not continue to make the bad decisions made by David or Saul or Sampson, etc. We mess up in areas they did not too. So, this cartoon is very good at applying scripture.
We don’t have to mess up to the degree of the Biblical accounts for God to use the same words He spoke to them to reprove and direct us.

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
