Hebrews_12:2_ fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

When you pray, pray to the Father in secret

Many times when I told people of my needs or let them know of my prayers (asking them to pray for me) they would then work against me. What could have been an easy road became a hard one because I told people. Just a word to the wise. These are prayers working for God’s kingdom. Those are the needs and prayers the enemy works against and he uses people in church to do his work, as well as out. Now, there are good people who you can let know your prayers but don’t think position denotes some kind of trust. You may be obligated to obedience because of position but not trust. Know their fruit. Not their words. I have had no problems with my current church but I am keeping things between me and God from now on.

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Luke 5:16 But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.

Luke 6:12 [ Choosing the Twelve ] It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.

Luke 9:18 And it happened that while He was praying alone, the disciples were with Him, and He questioned them, saying, "Who do the people say that I am?"

Acts 10:9 On the next day, as they were on their way and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray.

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (King James).
